Has Greeno Done Enough?

I endured another seventy odd minutes of awful ITV football coverage last night. I say 70 because I always fail to prepare my dinner in the half time break, I watched the beginning of the second half through the window of house across from me, huge large widescreen TV and lots of green leafy plants in the window, I shall say no more, other than it was the best twenty minutes of the match as it was commentary free. The worst thing about the world cup is that half of it is on ITV.

Anyway, to my point. I think Greeno has secured the number one shirt. The save from Vela was class, even though he should’ve scored regardless. He commanded a bit more last night and was only beaten when Leighton Baines gift wrapped one for Green’s Hammers team mate Franco. Capello has faith in him it seems and so should all us city fans. His very occasional errors have been given an unfair treatment, especially when he’s been one of the most exposed keepers in the premier league this season.

Even with all my faith placed in him, I’ll be nervous during every England game he plays, simply because I’m absolutely dying for him to do well.

Tweet of the Day – @PercyVarco I still get so nervous for Greeny when he plays for England. It’s like watching your son in the Nativity play. You know what I mean. #ncfc – My sentiments exactly.
